Short Introduction- Going back to my roots

Hello guys, Alexa here! Some of you may know me as Stormy on most of my social media.

I have been a reader for a LONG time, since age 3. I first started reading children's books and then mostly required reading through the earlier stages of my childhood. Around middle school I got into graphic novels (manga to be more specific) then around teens I was reading adult books and Harry Potter and Twilight. From my later high school years to currently, it has been nothing but young adult novels.

Yet recently, I've been in a bit of a slump 2018. I just started working full-time as a library circulation assistant and I haven't seen any young adult novels that have grabbed my attention lately or can keep my attention, like the fantasy books that are usually my go to reads.

But what I have been reading and what has been holding my attention are...romance novels. I think it is because I'm feeling nostalgic. Back when I was reading romance novels in high school, I wanted to get away and see the world and experience things for my own.

This year, I feel like it is a year for change and I feel like good things are going to come my way. Those dreams where I want to travel a lot are happening this year. Maybe I'll find love this year too.

I also I feel like there is stigma around romance novels and I guess I'm like I don't care what other people think this year. I want to read what I want and do what I enjoy, looking out for my own happiness and not be ashamed.

And it is okay if you don't like reading romance. I'm cool with that, I know we all have different tastes. But If you like romance novels or looking for a book to ease you into romance novels, I'm your girl. I'll try my best to recommend you what I like and what you'll enjoy.

Happy Reading!
