Top 5 Wednesday - Favorite M/M Couples
Hi guys! It is Wednesday so, it is going to be a Top 5 Wednesday. This group was started by Lainey over by gingerreadslaniey (via youtuber) but now Sam from Thoughts On Tomes (via youtube) is hosting it! 5. Magnus and Alec from The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassadnra Clare
I love Magnus and Alec when I read them through out the Mortal Instruments (Magnus and Alec and Izzy and Simon were like the only relationships I cared about) Also it is a couple me and my sisters love and we think that Alec and Magnus grew so much together as a couple.
4. Ruhn and Saxton from the Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward
A recent couple from a recent read, they are my favorite from the book (Novo and Peyton's relationship didn't even register to me). Saxton was suffering from heartbreak and Ruhn dealing with, really, having a new family where he feels like he doesn't fit in and the demons of his past. I love how they were able to heal each other and be open with each other. It was so cute!
3. Jesper and Wylan from Six of Crows
I am obsess with Leigh Bardugo's works and I love the dynamic between Jesper and Wylan. Jesper inspired Wylan to be himself and be proud of who he is and Wylan taught Jesper not to be ashamed of himself. Again, such a cute couple.
2. Nico and Will from the Percy Jackson Universe by Rick Riordan
Oh course I have to add Solangelo to my list. I rate them so high because this is a MIDDLE GRADE series and for Rick Riordan to write lgbtq characters for a much younger audience is important because around this time, children are impressionable. To teach kids to be open with who they are, no matter what their orientation or race or religion is....phenomenal.
1. Simon and Blue from Simon vs. The Homosapien Agenda by Becky Albertalli
A recent couple, Simon and Blue makes it to the top of my list. Simon is a closeted gay and his secret is threaten by another student. While reading, I got angry and scared with Simon and towards the end of the book, with the reveal on who Blue was? I. COULDN'T. STOP. SMILING. They were so cute and sweet. I love this book and I can't wait to see the movie come out this March (treating myself on my birthday)
